Ein Jahr ist es her, dass Gökhan Gültekin, Sedat Gürbüz, Said Nesar Hashemi, Mercedes Kierpacz, Hamza Kurtovićm, Vili Viorel Păun, Fatih Saraçoğlu, Ferhat Unvar und Kaloyan Velkov aus ihrem Leben gerissen worden sind. Angehörige und Freund*innen haben seitdem die Initiative 19. Februar Hanau gegründet, die u.a. Bildungsarbeit zum Thema Rassismus leisten will. Sie fordern Erinnerung, Gerechtigkeit, Aufklärung und Konsequenzen. Das rassistische Attentat vom 19. Februar 2020 muss lückenlos aufgeklärt werden. Politik und Behörden müssen alles dafür tun, dass sich eine solche Tat und alle Fehlverhalten, die von öffentlicher Seite damit zusammenhängen, nicht weiterhin wiederholen. Und vor allem die weiße Dominanzgesellschaft muss Verantwortung übernehmen und Solidarität zeigen, um die Dekonstruktion von strukturellem Rassismus voranzutreiben. // It has been one year since Gökhan Gültekin, Sedat Gürbüz, Said Nesar Hashemi, Mercedes Kierpacz, Hamza Kurtovićm, Vili Viorel Păun, Fatih Saraçoğlu, Ferhat Unvar and Kaloyan Velkov were ripped out of their lives. Relatives and friends have since founded the initiative 19 February Hanau, which wants to do educational work on racism-related topics in schools, among other things. They demand remembrance, justice, clarification and consequences. The racist attack of February 19, 2020 must be fully investigated. Politicians and authorities must do all in their power to ensure that such an act and all misconduct related to it do not continue to be repeated. And above all, the white majority society must take responsibility and show solidarity in order to push forward the deconstruction of structural racism in Germany.
